oh you run?
That's cool, anyway,
I know what you mean, when you're going to one song, sometimes you might miss it and click on the wrong song. lol
But its still okay I guess...

The Ipod is over hyped over priced and unneeded.

Mp3's have the same if not more capability.

It is an mp3 player, but iPod and mp3 players are seen as different, where there is a altar that people put the iPod on, especially kids.

Isn't an Ipod the same thing as an Mp3 player? I have no idea because I only own an mp3 player.  [cowb]

they both are basically the same, but the iPod is more popular because of all of the commercials and what not... lol

inflation isnt too bad right now. Its the cost of doing business that is disproportional. and increased regulations from the Obama administration is making it more expensive and complicated.

BD is seemingly in an aggressive mood at the moment. o.o

Well, I have an MP3 and its shit, and I like iPods a lot more, but that may be because I have a crappy MP3 player too...

They are the same thing, however, just iPod took on a sleek modern look, good layout and design, tons of marketing, and sorta started the MP3 wave. MP3 is considered a knock off of the original iPod, especially ones the mimic the look, like Zune. They are less popular, because the desire to appear to be wealthy and have more and/or at least equal to the rest of their peers, teens in society today look for the main brand, or the most popular of items.

o.o Is how things work. Its pretty dumb actually, to have to have the best cell phone, the best clothes, the best music player, the best laptop, the best w/e else. It's too materialistic in my opinion.

Yep yep Addy. I personally think iPod are better and can hold more songs than a mp3 player can. (Not saying that ANY iPod hold more than a mp3. Just the majority of iPods do)

Post by: Adelaide on August 13, 2009, 03:34:32 PM
Well that all depends on the MP3 player... I'm sure if I bought an MP3 for $100+ it would hold PLENTY of music.

I never really got into MP3 players to begin with. I've been listening to CD's on my walkman since the 4th grade and got an iPod in 8th grade. The good thing about iPods is that if I plan on buying a cd, I'll go to my local FYE and pick up afew cheap ones, but if I want just one specific song, I can go to iTunes and buy that one specific song without buying the entire album.

I had a ipod small thingy that clips on to you, I didn't like it. My bro has a ipod nano which is no longer working thanks to rex who chewed through the power cable. I sold my small ipod back in the days while I was trying to get a psp. And so, I guess neither nor ipod vs mp3 I say psp ;D +it does more then just music like games, pictures, video, and internet

I like iPods.  Mainly because I can organize the music on my computer and that will be reflected when I sync my iPod.  The organization definitely does it for me :)

True true. Ive always liked the ipod. mp3s are good, but the ipod holds more songs and videos. Just my opinion.

The iPod is like your regular mp3 player and more.  And though people bash it to be something overpriced and well beyond your news, I think that it is able to serve its purpose.  Before, music players were just all about playing songs, going forward and backward but the iPod introduced something better with its organization options. It enables you to reach more with not much work required to put into.

Contemplating whether or not you want to get an iPod (like the rest of your friends have), or another brand of MP3 player? Overall, iPods are very good and so are most MP3 players. Each have their own pros and cons...

iPods and MP3 Players - Compatibility

When comparing iPods and MP3 players, one of the first things that should be taken into consideration is compatibility. Many people believe that iPods only work on Mac computers. This is not at all true. iPods work with computers that are capable of running iTunes. Thus, Macs and PCs. However, iPods do not play well, or at all, with other music management software, other than iTunes. So, if you like using iTunes to manage all of your music, videos, tv shows, movies, and apps, an iPod is probably going to be your best bet. Alternatively, if you prefer another software other than iTunes for managing your music, videos, tv shows, etc, than an iPod is probably not for you. Apple likes to keep all of their products strictly wound together. Chances are good, your average MP3 player will not be able to sync with iTunes... at least not out of the box.

Also keep into consideration, most MP3 players come with their own software, or allow you to manually drag and drop MP3 files into them, similar to a flash drive.
