As you can see, its obvious that Metapod would evolve into Venomoth. Note the similar narrow and pointed body, the similar eyes, the three "horns".The same goes for Venonat and Butterfree.Note the exact same eyes, similar antennae, saw tooth mouth, purple bodies, and round figures.WTF We were played as fools! Just think how the game would play out with some psychic attacks early on in the game. Not to mention how different the first season of Pokemon would be!!

in Red, Blue, and Yellow Caterpie had six little feet, but after they  [cen] ed up his evolution path they removed two feet. Every game after has Caterpie with 4 little feet.

i agree that venonat look more like it would evolve into butterfree.
with a change in colors maybe, caterpie's last stage should be venomoth
and wow... who pays that much attention to the feet on a caterpie?

My mom's old boyfriend found a Pokemon Gold cartridge in a trash can and gave it to me. The damn thing kept freezing up all the time.
