Torn between technology
« on: May 05, 2015, 09:45:40 AM »
My problem is that my current design mac book pro laptop is over five years old now and it probably only has another two years in it. I'm thinking about buying an Imac, because it is much more powerful than a laptop and all of the Adobe software I have is for Mac, not for PC. My reasoning for the Imac is that is around the same price as a new mac book pro anyway.

On the other hand, I would love to have another desktop PC, but strictly for design. This will help with file transfers and compatibility issues between mac and pc. I would have to buy all new Adobe software though. T_T

What to do? It is tough being a PC and Mac user at the same time when it comes to upgrading from that point.

I actually consider Mac (or Linux) as my choice for "work" and PC for my rec. I plan on having a Linux as a desktop for work and a PC for my rec use...in the future lol

I do that pretty much already.

I might get another PC and then start on the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for PC. Or I could do the same thing with an Imac...

I guess I will just have to see what money is like around that time. Currently not sitting too well.
