Title: The New iTunes10 and Ping
Post by: bloo-apple on September 02, 2010, 12:56:39 PM
iTunes 10 is out with it's newest addition Ping, which is an iTunes version of Facebook and twitter.  The new icon for the program is a new addition, and is nice to see something rather than the CD and Blue Music Note all the time.  I also like the new interface for the program there's not much changed, but they have added a new display feature and it is defnetly something to check out.

Disappointed in Ping, I thought it was going to be a great new social networking feature... If it would have been a combination of facebook and twitter rather than itunes to try to come up with its own new thing.  However I like how it shows artists pages a lot neater and it's more efficient for reviewing stuff.

I hate how itunes and apple handle their organization of songs and how one puts songs on their devices, but thats just me.

the way they organize your lists of songs on your itunes account is not how I would organize my audio files. Speaking of audio files, itunes has a bad habit of pulling up ALL audio files on your comp when you have it search for songs on your computer.

I just prefer being able to use windows explorer when putting music on my devices. Having dropdown tabs for artists/albums jsut doesnt cut it for me, as I hate to scroll.

Another reason I don't care for it, or my ipod(which I've only put the 4M songs on) You are forced to use one program, which is lame to me, but such is mac and I've enjoyed being a PC guy.

itunes does suck, they don't let you download songs if your not 100% up to date with your version

not to mention all the updates apple downloads behind your BACK! Also when you play a mp3, it saves it in an apple folder, and now you have 2 of the same mp3 on your computer. Bad organizational programming.
