Hey 4M... Does anyone have Windows 7? I do, and I think it's freakin' awesome! lol So what do you all think? Better or worse than Windows Vista or Windows XP?

Mine came with the laptop, and I could care less for operating systems as long as the programs I want work, and everything is functional. In regards to Win7, its okay, but not too terribly different from Vista, and the paint annoys me because its hard to get all pixellly

I've been running with xp over 5 years and its like waking up every morning seeing yourself in the mirror. I`ve seen 7 and imo it makes no difference just a more visual innterface. The only thing I done to my xp is making the loading screen faster then overclocking it

XP was good, I used it for a lot of years... I for the most part dont care about what OS I am using, as long as it works with the programs i use

I switch to the next OS for windows systems after the newest one has been updated a whole lot to fix the common issues and allow for solutions to problems be posted on the internet. For the most part new operating systems now are comparable to game consoles; they have increased features but you can still have a good time with the older ones.

Yeah, I agree. I didn't want to switch from vista to win 7 but my dad sorta made meh D;

That is because more people use Windows, thus the market for people who use viruses as an income is larger and gives greater rewards for their efforts. They make more money infecting Windows than Mac ans so thats where they dedicate their time and energy. You are [fwoff] .
When Vista was released, I said 'meh' because everything I used worked fine on XP. When the complaints started, I said 'meh' because with the active issues, I wasn't going to switch from XP. Years later, the issues have been fixed and I tried Vista. I like it more than I did XP. I will probably do the same thing with Windows 7 because anything new will have unpredictable issues, especially with programs that were designed for Vista, just like how Vista had issues with programs that were designed for XP.

I got vista at the worst time, but what choice did we have? I had 2 online classes and our XP crashed and burned. (We got a virus that literally destroyed the hard drive.) [ms]
Our vista sucks, so even though I only have the windows7 starter on my netbook, it runs about ten times better with the programs I need (namely quickbooks, peachtree, and drake tax software).

o.o I hate trying to work with XP anymore- I'm too used to 7, I forgot how to work XP, and now I just... can't :P I actually even prefer Vista to XP... XP is kinda painful to try and work with, especially when somethings acting up and it gotsa be fixed
