I lost my vista admin PW cause my comp has been broken for like a year and it works now for some reason... B U T I forgot my pw to get into my account!!!! HELP MEEEEEE [psyduck]

anyone know how i can reset in vista? i heard it was impossible... F CUK!!

maybe use the install cd, you might have to reinstall vista

fcuking bullsiht VISTA doesnt come w/ an install CD! so now i have to pay for one! grrrrrbles!!

in that case, you might loose drivers to your sound/video card and such
i suggest you bringing it into geeksquad/bestbuy
it will save you a headache, but not save you $ :(

Please do that. Or back up your video card/sound card drivers, if you know how. A friend of mine did that and she ended up not having sound for a while, until I showed her how to fix it. :<

Uhm, check for any recovery questions and whatnot. If you can't get the password back, you could wipe your computer and just set it up again... But that would be pretty bothersome.
Can you be more specific what "PW" you're talking about? Like your User Login PW to get into your computer?

You could download Hiren's boot cd which contains a password removal. I don't remember if it worked on vista though. If you don't try hiren's then the only way is to do a factory restore, which will erase are your data and have your computer running like it was new. You can still back up your data before you do this but you would need to open the chassis and take out the hard disk drive. What is the manufacturer of your PC? HP, COMPAQ, ACER, GATEWAY, SONY, DELL, TOSHIBA, LENOVO, VELOCITY?
