Title: How do you feel about MS buying out Skype?

Positive or Negative?
Microsoft purchased Skype for 8.5 billion dollars last night. If you are a regular skype user, what do you think about it? Do you think skype will become a better program or will microsoft ruin it?

Skype never really addressed bugfixes. Hopefully MS will show it some love. I want to see emotes come to skype, ala MSN.

that is a lot of money! i just hope everything stays free
at least adobe or google isn't buying them, that would suck

One of Microsoft's incentives to buy it is because Google expressed interest in purchasing it themselves. I honestly dunno what to expect from the program, but I do think there will be more services and improvements. If they will overimprove and eventually ruin is beyond me, but I guess we'll find out, wont we?

skype is totally not worth billions, they are gonna use it with Xbox Live for sure tho, and probably make their users pay to use it, even tho they already have to pay to use it. Just like their users have to pay to use their own internet connection they already pay for, in order to play online!

what about getting a phone call, you have your headset on, and a little small window on the right or left hand side of the person on video talking with me live at a push of a button while playing black ops

there is a lot of reasons they purchased it, i think theyre main concern for buying it was for there new windows phone. which i like a lot actually, but i feel they are going to make it look all microsofty and i like the way skype looks, i hope they dont change the user interface or put any ads on it.

i am pretty sure windows live is the only game sysyem that u have to pay to use online.

its better than skype for Dividing people into private rooms and Not having to share info to connect with everyone it serves better for talking with 5+ people while playing a game

if Microsoft buys Skype they better bundle it with their operating system then and Give us Free Phone calls or somthing i could see it now Windows Live Skype talk....

skype will probably always charge... they have to make money from somewhere, even if they added it to windows, they wouldn't charge extra for windows
