Yea it took like a year but i finally saved up enough to buy myself my very own gaming laptop

Not bad! That's a pretty powerful laptop machine. I was looking at getting a 9300 soon, since mine's still a 7 series. :x
Decent price, since it's a laptop (Usually I've found them to cost more...)
The built in camera is nice, and it comes with 4GB RAM which is pretty nice. I was also impressed with the blu-ray compatibility! It looks nice, to boot. Good buy, sir!

i would never buy a high end computer because they lose value just as quickly!!

yea i love it and it is actually pretty pointless to buy a high end laptop cause you cant upgrade them as much but a desktop is probably worth it

Yeah, my desktop I just replace parts every 4-5 years or so, and maybe the RAM when it deteriorates enough. That's really it, though. I'm planning on buying a 1.5 TB HD next week or so. I need a bunch more disk space - My music is taking up tons of space, and I need more built-in memory.
But laptops have that nice little feature where you can drag it everywhere (Assuming you have the battery life for it) and also still be able to use it when the power goes out. :C
My only quarrel with laptops is overheating, since I tend to like to wrap up in a blanket or something when I'm on them and things tend to not fan out nicely.

that is true however even with the turbo on i have never had my laptop overheat and its not on a stand

i only use my laptop, laptops are very useful, cause you can take them anywhere
i mostly use it for clients to sell websites at coffee shops
you show up with a nice shiny laptop they usually are impressed

This is true. That would be a nice presentation; especially if you're nice enough to treat them to the coffee. :D
And yeah, with that powerful of a machine I would expect it to have a nice cooling system. The laptops I've had were usually shitty dells, hahaha.

I'm thinking of getting a laptop when I go off to college or something, and if I can't bring my computer, but other than that, I have no use for a laptop.

They're really nice to have as a portable device. But, I'm worried about it overheating. If it wasn't for that, I would love to have a laptop.
