I guess it could go both ways. Tho I agree with it for the most part. Hate the game, not the player!

How is the planet responsible for aids and cancer?
Title: Re: Just because...
Post by: Ishtarvanii on January 31, 2011, 06:04:47 PM
i think there part of nature, as all sicknesses are.
Title: Re: Just because...

Humans are a part of nature, so where does that leave us?
Title: Re: Just because...
Post by: Ishtarvanii on January 31, 2011, 07:48:21 PM
i dont think we are part of nature as i do not believe we are from the planet
Title: Re: Just because...

Well there you have it I guess.

How about the similarities in body structure and bodily functions of humans that are similar to millions of species found on this planet?

How did we inhabit this planet and why hasn't this been recognized yet?

They aren't opposing sides by any means, two unrelated and different things, existing within the same space time.
Title: Re: Just because...
Post by: Ishtarvanii on January 31, 2011, 11:31:22 PM
but the planet would be better off without humans
Title: Re: Just because...
Post by: Flashwerewolf on February 01, 2011, 12:25:13 AM
How do you know that? What harm have we done to the planet thus far?
Title: Re: Just because...
Post by: Ishtarvanii on February 01, 2011, 01:26:56 AM
killing its ozone layer, cutting down most of its trees, hunting some species almost out of exsistance. newly assed, oil massive oil spills.

And this harms the planet how? There are planets in our galaxy that have no life what so ever, and they are doing perfectly fine as planets. A planet is still a planet regardless if it holds life.

Events in the past have had much more serious impacts on the status of life on Earth than all of humanity's acts combined.

The meteor shower that brought about the Ice Age(a natural event, mind you) completely transformed the surface of the planet and exterminated the majority of its lifeforms.

Humans aren't very destructive compared to the other forces that exist. Its that we are conscious, that makes what we do so much more grave compared to everything else thats out there, apparently. At least to those who wish to portray humanity in such a dramatic light. We are so important to the nature of things that we control the power to bring about the very end of all thats around us. Its all masturbation of the human ego.

We are an ego-centric species and are bold enough to say that we are worse than the harshest forms of destructive inanimate events that occur merely by chance of physics and the right timing. When nothing we have done thus far in our existence as a species amounts to the acts of destruction that occur with planets, super novas, black holes, and all other forms of space matter interacting with each other simply based off of timing and cosmic chain reactions.

We are the largest threat to our own survival and that is the bottom line of the matter. That is basically as unique as we are compared to other species on this planet.

@Killing ozone: It's natural chemicals that are destroying the ozone and some of them are necessary... Even inhalers for asthma damage the ozone, but at you gonna yell at an asthmatic for using their inhaler to start breathing again, because of the ozone?

@Cutting down trees: We obviously haven't cut all or most of them down, as we haven't all suffocated yet and we need them for carbon dioxide and filtering the air and water.

@Hunting into extinction: Humans were not the first species to ever take another one out; species hunt each other into extinction constantly. It's survival of the fittest and perfect natural c:

@ Addy EX: killing gorillas until there are a few left is not survival of the fittest.

@ Addy EX: killing gorillas until there are a few left is not survival of the fittest.

Isn't that the definition of survivalism? If you are able to be reduced to few numbers, then you are not very strong at surviving.

Yeah.. that is exactly what survival of the fittest is XD

we are okay because when the planet was being formed, hit by meteors, and with all the volcanos destroying the ozone

the earth has been through worse than humans

how old is the earth?? 3 billion years or more??

if we all kill each other in wars, the earth will recover again, and we will be like dinosaurs for another evolved animal that becomes intelligent

Just because I dress like this doesn't mean I'm a communist.

I wouldn't mind having a mountain of Anti-Matter so I could "Somehow" shoot it to the core of the Earth and set it off.

Says you now. But what in another 1000 years when everyone you've ever cared about has died continuously in a vicious circle? Where you have to suffer through every war, plague, ailment, and death bringing era? Through dark ages and ice ages alike? Through GLOBAL WARMING?

I think that one would be able to adapt fairly well. 1000 years of life is 1000 years of experience! Speak all languages, be advanced in all forms of trades!!
