I haven't seen this before, but I've heard it's a really good horror/thriller. Is it comparable to the Maniac Cop trilogy?

OMG! A MOVIE I ACTUALLY SAW!!!!

I loved it! Well.. the s'ex didn't make sense to me, they just sorta put it in there for kicks, but the movie as a while was pretty amazing. It's a really gewd movie if you like any of those paranormal satanic horror flix, i think they did a real gewd job with it.

rating wise.. 8.5/10 I guess...

I'ma try to keep out spoilers, but the basic jist to the movie is Johnny Depp plays as our main character, Dean Corso; a rare book dealer. He is hired by a wealthy man, who owns a copy of this book called 'The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows'. There are only three copies of this book in existence, and he who owns all three is said to be able to raise the devil, and will become all powerful. Now, tainted by the desire for power and to resurrect the devil, all the owners of these books are obsessive, yet whoever comes in contact with these books, seem to meet an unfortunate end. While Dean Corso is in possession of the book, there are many assassination attempts on him, and he even gets laid twice.

The movie would have still been great without them, thats how! They were out of place and too random... Just made for two pretty awkward scenes
