Title: Moments in your life when you felt discriminated? Please, do tell!

Just because I have glasses, and am a artist/computer nerd. When I was young would get chose last in sports. By the end of each of the games, they realized I DIDN'T suck.. But it would just feel bad, that I was discriminated because I was
1. white, 2. smart and 3. skinny
Has something like this happened to you? Or some other way of discrimination? Discuss!

Been told I was overqualified a few times for jobs. Pisses me off, cause they'll give the job to someone else when I am fully capable of working for them, and would like to work for them. I'm sure it was because I'm
1. white, 2. smart and 3. skinny
Also I always get kicked out of the ladies room, WTF SEXISTS!!!

I used to feel discriminated in phys ed back in freshman year because I was the skinny, white, unathletic type who didn't really give a damn about making a touchdown before the period was over. I was discriminated before on account of my movie/music opinion being different from everyone else's, but those days are behind me.

us 3 are a lot alike!
fw, i was told i was over qualified when i was applying for jobs recently
they only say that because they would rather hire a inexperienced kid who they can boss around, not someone with experience who is smart..
basically a slave to work for minimum wage, not a temporary employee, that would leave the second they found something better

Hmms... Well I live in a mostly hispanic/black area with more cocky New Yorkers than Pennsylvanians, and they seem to start a "ZOMG NY IS AMAZING" clique where the PA kids aren't allowed D; Aside from that there's the typical female stereotypes, but guys get that too so it's not horrible...
I do get judged big time on my lack of drinking or doing drugs or having sex... Actually I used to get heckled on a daily basis about the abstinence thing.. I think it's more so that its so a foreign thing anymore that people can't understand it easily... :/
Other than a few incidents though, I'm relatively easy to get a long with so I don't have much troubles :3

I don't think that it is America that is behind discrimination, its just a part of human nature to discriminate against those who are different than you, thus it cannot be eliminated and will always exist.

^ That is never going to happen, skin tones develop based on lack of protection from UV rays... Unless the ozone is built up immensely (never gonna happen) darker skin, and lighter skin will always exist.

Used to get loads of this in the early days of being here. Then everyone either got bored or grew up. It's all rubbish if you ask me but what do i know. Apparently i am supposed to have bad teeth but i dont. I love the stereotype game though. When someone comes up to me and says "your supposed to love to drink alot." i respond "yeah and your supposed to be a fat and ignorant American" All in all it doesnt happen anymore. Now the guys think its cool and the girls just wanna sex me....lifes not too bad.
