Well we all know I can't be in school right now and that I am on homebound with a teacher/tutor coming to see me once or twice a week. Well, I was given this assignment, that was incredibly vague, and I couldnt at all understand. The first time I emailed him, my english teacher that is, he told me the directions were clear. The second time I emailed him I was pretty to the point as to how i didnt understand it and how he needed to give me a better explanation, which could have come off as c0cky, but I needed an adequate understanding...
His response back to this was that again the directions were clear, but he took a jab at my intelligence, implying it was at fault of my comprehension skills that led to my misunderstandings and confusions.
one of the directions was: "1. Must include a M0ral labeled on the line(s)" and I inquired about this... he had this to say: "A m0ral? You do not know what a m0ral is? It is something we can learn from the story told by the character; a lesson.
Identify which line(s) is is stated or implied."
All i needed was the bold part... I'm not an idiot...
"Am I making my own character or making this off a Canterbury character?" "No. Se above and directions." <- this was a yes or no question???
Final note from teacher: "You are making a huge deal about something small. About the ideas you have below, I am only to give the assignments and grade them. Your homebound teacher should be able to explain in more detail as you seem to need. I am responsible for providing and grading the assignments."
o.o my homebound teacher is a history teacher who has been doing the homebound tutoring for many many years... Its been explained to me several times: The home bound teacher is a mediator, he is to go to the teacher and learn what I need to be taught, than bring the knowledge back to me. He is a HISTORY teacher.. not an english teacher.. why is he expected to be teaching english????
I gotta say I'm not very impressed with this... high schools are so disorganized... o.o To say the least I cannot complete the assignment, because I still don't understand it and neither does the tutor, and this teacher doesnt feel like giving me an accurate explanation, I have had a million people look at it, including a literature major for goodness sakes!! No one understands his rubbish... soo.... o.o Oh well I guess...
Also... his typing skills are crap...
Does anyone understand that assignment? Like I get the guidelines but really now... What is the assignment exactly?!
I mean.. if he intended on it being an in class project then he must have foreseen misunderstandings since he usually makes projects at home only... -.- Serious disadvantage on my part....
