thats the last year, dude...
This was teh decade of computers.

Think about it, 60s was hippies, 70s was discos and fros, 80s was music, 90s was cartoons and television, and this decade will be computers. It has only been in the past 10 years that they really expanded on it.

In any case, I doubt the Aughts will be remembered very positively as the best-selling artist of the decade was the rapper Eminem. Also, is it just me or have Indians become much more popular in the past few years?

In terms of government and popular culture, last decade blows.

However, 2008 sparked quality action films in a return to form.

Me, Addy, and any other teens here--we're the '00s kids, but we're part 90s as well. Helluva decade, I can only imagine when schools start having '00s-themed dances rather than '80s-themed dances. Everyone will be dressed in Aeropostale and vampire clothes.

xD I'm telling you guys, thats only the past year.

1/10 years is nothing to generalize the decade with. What about those other 9 years? Did nothing happen in them!? =o

Well they're basically computers and patriotism. We're from the decade of computers and patriotism.

Patriotism in the last decade xD? I think its been more of the anti-patriot, what with Bush and what not... =3

Anyway, computers are a definite thing of the decade

Since 9/11 it seems everyone has been alot more patriotic, tho.

maybe because without war, it can go un-noticed.
WAR is the generalization of the 2000s

9-11 provoked more fear and in some cases a questioning to the ability and protection our government provides for us

which Indians? [chair]
According to the American Community Survey of the U.S. Census Bureau, the Asian Indian population in the United States grew from almost 1,679,000 in 2000 to 2,570,000 in 2007: a growth rate of 53%, the highest for any Asian American community, and among the fastest growing ethnic groups in the United States.
I agree with Addy about the past year being more focused on vampires than the past decade. Pirates were more popular for much longer, not that I'm saying the decade will be known for that either.

Anyway, computers are a definite thing of the decade
I agree, but rabbits are hindgut digesters.

Bunnies eat sorrows and turn them into joys that they secrete from their cuteness glands.
