NEW RULES AND UPDATES:
Players involved in battles that become inactive (do not post at all that is) for 3 days lose the battle. The winner is the active member.
Players that post rarely, or drag on a battle on for 5 days, this rule of course open to certain exceptions, will have their pokemon controlled by me to end the battle. If this happens, the player controlled does not get experience for the battle.
BATTLE RULES!
::GETTING INTO BATTLE::
You may either challenge a person, be challenged, or advertise that you want to battle (as Flash did above) and wait for response.
Once a player accepts battle each participant must choose a pokemon to start with. The fastest pokemon, as determined by gold/silver, will get to go first.
::BATTLE MECHANICS::
Each battle is assigned a color. Both participants must post in the color to make turns easily identifiable, and allow for multiple battles to go on.
Example Battle:
Addy: Battle Accepted. Particpants: Eevee vs Oddish. Eevee goes first. Battle color is Red.
Example Traier 1: Eevee uses tackle.
Addy: Eevee [55/55] does 7 damage. Oddish's [38/45] turn.
Example Trainer 2: Oddish uses absord.
Example Trainer 3: I challenge example trainer 4 with Chikorita!
Example Trainer 4: I accept with *insert pokemon name*!
Addy: Oddish [38/45] does 8 damage. Eevee's [47/55] turn.
Bulbasaur vs *insert pokemon name* . Battle Accepted. Chikorita goes first. Battle color is Blue.
Example Trainer 3: Chikorita uses tackle.
Example Trainer 1: Eevee uses tail whip.
This example battle, using my pokemon and some random one, helps you understand how the battles will work. The colors help identify which pokemon battle, as you can see.
Health will be displayed everytime I mention a pokemon in battle, as displayed above.
Addy the PokeNurse heals all pokemon after each battle.
A pokemon cannot be poisoned and asleep at the same time. This goes for all special attacks with lasting effects (burn, poison, ice, sleep, ect.) For these attacks, if they wear off (such as sleep) I will roll a 4 sided die to determine how many turns until your pokemon is cured or wakes up.
Regular attacks are the result of the roll of an 8 sided die. For each level after 5, a 4 sided dice is rolled and the result of that, plus the 8 sided die is the attack damage dealt.
If a pokemon uses a special attack, and it is the opponent's weakness, the roll of an 8 sided die, plus the amount of the roll from a 6 sided die will be the damage dealt.
If the attack is the same type attack as the other pokemon it is the result of an 8 sided die minus the roll of a 6 sided die. (Damage cannot be in the negatives, and the dice will be rerolled until a usable number is rolled)
Battle is turn by turn.
::TYPES OF BATTLES::
Quick Battle: Each participant choices 1 pokemon to battle with. Once one loses the battle is over.
Extended Battle: All pokemon are able to be used.
::REWARDS::
Each pokemon used in a battle goes up a level regardless of if the win or lose.
Winners of battles get a free item.
Winners of tournaments get a free pokemon.
Winners of quick battles earn $25.
Winners of extended battles earn $75.
::IN THE MAKING::
Addy's Mart of PokeItems- Money earned from battles will be able to be spent on items at my PokeMart!
Gym Leaders- Basically like battling an AI trainer, these leaders can be challenged once you feel ready. They will be controlled by me, but have their own name, pokemon, ect. They are only there to provide badges, money, experience, and fun!
