The game is set approximately two weeks prior to the events of Halo 3 in the fictional city of New Mombasa. The game's protagonist, referred to as "the rookie", is an unnamed member of the UNSC Marines' Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs) or "Helljumpers". ODSTs often deploy in small, one-man Human Entry Vehicles (HEVs), launched from spaceships in the upper atmosphere. During the game, the Rookie is separated from his four teammates and must find out what happened to them with the guidance of a city maintenance AI known as the Superintendent. The Rookie's teammates are Buck, Dutch, Romeo, Mickey, and Dare (voiced by Tricia Helfer), an ONI agent in charge of the squad's operation. Nathan Fillion also voices one of the ODST in the game.

um...definately not. you all have no idea what your talking about i'd say. its not halo 3.5 or 2.7 but odst. you see, you arnt playing as the chief in this one. you are playing in around the same time period as 2, but you are going to be one earth the whole entire time, and you are going to be an odst, hence the name. the game is not overrated. you just dont like the game. most likely either because you dont like 1st person shooters, or you get your ass kicked, and take your fustration out on the game. also, this, "im one of the few who dont play the game and im cool because of it" crap thats been going around is complete nonsense. people feel like theyve achieved something just because they dont play halo like everyone else

It's taking place in between 2 and 3, and I don't like Halo 3 because the story mode is [cen] ing boring. I get bored after the first mission.

no, not really. the guns are the same, but you cant duel wield, your short, slow, you can barely jump, and you dont have energy shields. the gameplay is going to be extremely different. please do research before saying a game is going to be bad. better yet, play the game first before making your decision

Action is one thing, but the music has to fit the action perfectly to be Epic. Then it will not be boring.
