I started a screenplay for a zombie movie yesterday morning involving an old mental hospital in Pennsylvania (Pennhurst, which I live afew miles from) which something happens to it, causing the corpses of mental patients buried on MH grounds to rise from the dead and wreak havoc on the town.
It starts like From Dusk Till Dawn. A small-town sheriff has a conversation of something nasty with a friend of his who lives up the street from the police station. He then goes to turn off the radio b/c the music is bugging him. He suddenly hears on the radio a report of the dead rising from Pennhurst.
We then cut to 10 minutes earlier where rabid animal ashes are seeped into the graves of dead mental patients by rain. We then cut to a man running into a house, where he disrupts the sheriff and the other man. The movie ends on a dark note after some other stuff, (maybe) where a man is running from zombies and goes into a house where lots are following him. He runs into a room and locks himself in. He looks out the window and sees zeds all out there too. The door begins to push and get clawed at. The man sits and cries on the floor, sitting. It ends.
I don't want the movie to be very long at all. Less than 30 min--a project for my high school video production class in school next year. I figure if I get a jump on things now, it'll be a well-planned and prepared flick. If anyone has any suggestions for the movie, like what they'd like to see, be my guest and add some ideas. I'm completely open to suggestion. Cheers.
