Title: Police
Post by: Red on May 28, 2015, 06:11:40 PM
If you're a cop, I'll never like or trust you.

I respect some law enforcement, they aren't all bad.
But, the news and certain cops have given the general perception of cops a bad name.

I got a $100+ ticket for not wearing my seatbelt, which I was wearing. My I just had my arm over the strap instead of it over my shoulder. I never heard that it was illegal to wear it that way. I know so many people who wear it that was. I hate the strap rubbing on my neck. I'm literally being ticketed for a minor detail, when people constantly get away with not signalling and they don't get tickets.

In my opinion we need some form of law enforcement but our current law system is no good and need to revised a lot too many silly laws that aren't really protecting anyone and to many police officers abusing thier power to meet the government given quotas to keep thier jobs also there ate many who are drunk with authority cb is right they aren't all bad but it seems like more and more are becoming so especially since more and more PTSD afflicted vets are becoming police officers

Some police officers are really corrupt, but others are really nice people. In fact, if I'm out getting wasted and I'm too drunk to even think about driving home, I'll call the non-emergency line and ask for an escort home.  They literally follow you back home and you get no DUI, and get all the way home in your own car. No taxi. No charge.

Not to be "colourist," or whatever, but is your vehicle that you drive red as well? If so, you are indeed a naturally police magnet -- it is proven from numerous motorist studies. Also, the times are moving towards a police state environment, so the slow encroachment of our basic rights are certainly apparent. Always fight for our freedom whenever you can. Here's a simple way how:

Next time you get pulled over, politely ask the officer for their FULL NAME and COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. Those specific words are very important, they are legal terms. The officer will know that you are informed, will either disclose that information or expect that you will not give any information without a lawyer present, and they will expedite the stop in your favour -- usually meaning they let you off if you aren't doing something blatantly illegal, such as violating open-container laws, hot-boxing your ride, or have a dozen bodies leaking fluids through the trunk. o-o If they refuse to answer both honestly, you can reserve the right to say absolutely nothing and merely hand them your registration and license through the window without opening up. The worst thing you can do is talk back or anger the officer, so just try to get those two key points out of them and give up nothing! Politeness really helps, too.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Have at it. Hope the cops leave you alone. (o:

My car is gray. Aha

I know I can do all that, but it doesn't change the fact I got a ticket for doing nothing.

You had to pay it already? )o; You couldn't even go in and fight it? If you win, you pay nothing but the gas it took to get there! Don't worry, I agree with you. Being hassled by the cops is ass and titties, and not in a good way.

Also, damn... the guy named Red has a grey car... go figure. My intuition must be off these days, hahahaha.  [zomgnoes]

I was supposed to pay it the other day, but I scheduled a court date to fight it. That is July 31st~ So, I have time to make some money to pay if it they don't throw it out now.

Haha, I've rarely had a difficult cop.
Just the past week I've been pulled over twice.
The first time the cop told me I had an expired inspection sticker, He held me for 10 minutes and just gave me a warning.
Two days ago I was speeding about 20 miles over the limit, I got pulled over and surprisingly I was fine.

But, There are times when I get a cop that will try to bend my rights just to see if I have a type of drug or alcohol in my car.
