Title: Call of Duty 4

So i finally got this game, to see what all the hype and word of mouth was about. Sometimes i play Gears or Halo, and you hear people praise CoD4, and i dont see why
the graphics are eh, the gameplay is 90% exact to Ghost Recon, not impressed, they took the name call of duty, put a bunch of other games into it
disapointed 5/10, not to mention no online achivements

some things they did are okay, i do need a first person shooter to play since ive overplayed gears and halo

I'm still trying to get a copy of COD4 through Gamefly with no luck. Probably because my girlfriend has Viva Pinata for her DS out as my other game and has no real timeframe of when she'll want to send it back, more than likely I'll be purchasing it for her so I can get another game and because she has a birthday coming up in 2 weeks. ^_^

ive met a few people who dont like first person shooters
and i dont understand why not, after a stressful day take out some bad guys

I have cod4 for the pc but cant play it cause my video card sucks and when i bought a new one and put it in for some reason nothing happened i installed everything and it still didnt work so i just gave up on it

i guess you would of had to grow up in the Doom/Doom2 Era to understand our Facination with First person shooters...

I love doom, just not a lot of FPS.
I love Mech games tho, like Armored Core series.

yeah its all about the multiplayer in FPS's these days and sometimes it can feel Very alienating or you feel cheated if you loose and somehow dont think you lost fairly and the web and web play despite PunkBuster and other Programing entitys to try and ensure fairness it sometimes does not stop the feeling of OHH how did he do that thats BS when your unluckly playing a very skilled video gamer that needs a life.

Just got COD4. Pretty cool thus far, I've been switching between it and Bad Company, which is equally cool. I had to tweak the control setup a little bit, but once I got that under control, it was a pretty good game.

I liked CoD4. I don't see what was wrong with it. It was just a general, well-made FPS. I have no complaints. I did like the Online game play. It's fun and easy to leave and come back to in an hour. Games don't last 1,000,000 years, and when you get knifed 4 times in a row, you can still get up and fight again in another 3 seconds. I enjoyed it. I still like Halo 3's multiplayer, but then again, it is slow. That's why Half-Life 2 was the best online FPS ever. ;)

Yeah, that would have been fun. But the story was so quick that it really wouldn't have been THAT much more fun, you know?
