Figs, the Forbidden Fruit!

I have a Fig Tree from my birthday months ago and its started to bear fruit! Freaking sweet(Literally). Only issue is it needs so much watering its tough to stay on top of.

Also, ants like figs to. >:(

To be honest with you I have no idea what a fig is. I used to eat Fig Newtons until they started getting caught in my teeth.

No i only eat them off the branch.

I notice huge 30ft fig trees all around town, but their fruit always falls off and is a sickley yellow color. To have yummy figs you have to keep the plant somewhat small and the  branches short.

Ive always gardened as a kid,forced to by  my mom actually, but now i have my own garden of purpley and dark foliage. its small right now, but in a year or so I'll have a nice dark garden.
