Title: Time Machine
Post by: bloo-apple on April 12, 2010, 01:15:23 PM

So I heard something interesting a while go about time machines.

They might be possible to build, but you wouldn't able to go back any further than the time of the original being created. So for example, if a time machine was completed today on March 25th, 2010 at 7:24 AM, you could go back as far as that in the future.

Thoughts?

Yes, keep the time machine for 10 years, go back 10 years and make life better.  [cmon2]

or, wait 1 week to use it, get the power ball lottery numbers, go back in time, tell yourself the winning numbers BAM!

Time machines will never be created o.o but if there were that would be pretty spectacular

Let me put this into perspective: to go back/forward in time would be to create a rip in the fabric of time and space, thus radically changing everything. This would all be different, and therefore I feel that technology should never come about. It could cost someone's, if not many peoples', life.

I think the rip in the time space continuum is all just the media's attempt to make a stupid plot to time travel movies, and it wouldnt matter if people died or not because they wouldnt really be remembered, or if they died in war, ect. then we would think of them today as we do others who have already died in war... either way its not possible to travel through time

Albert Einstien once said..

"Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible."

and I believe scientific is possible, but most people are using science for marketing and just making up hoaxes ..

(I just referenced myself) :O

there are incentives to produce a better this or faster that thus capitalism and scientific progress hold hands to make our country more efficient and productive.

thats not true. Like I said a lot of good can come of smart scientists and engineers looking to make money for themselves and family. How do you think we are the most technologically advanced country for all these years?

He is right; theres not as much incentive in communist nations, because they put a lot of effort into something that never really pays off and the government just takes your ideas and profits from your effort with no effort of their own

Touche..

I was thinking it of it in a negative way. But you are right.  Most of the time scientists don't use there title for evil. or greed.
