Title: Microsoft Points a scam
Post by: malevolencedrone on May 29, 2008, 01:27:55 AM
I found out recently my gamertag is corrupt according to Microsoft, which would explain why I can't play Gears online anymore and why I can't buy points. I figured I'd at least try buying them from a store (Target had them on sale for 15 bucks for a 1600 point card, which is pretty reasonable considering it's normally 20 bucks). Needless to say, it wouldn't let me activate my card. After doing some research on the internet sauce, I found out that by using a 2nd account, I could activate my points. So we did, with my girlfriend's account. I'm out 15 bucks but at least we got extra levels for Beautiful Katamari now. (I'm still kinda irritated I can't play Uno on my account which is the whole reason I bought the points card to begin with.) Needless to say, I will no longer take advice from kinjo regarding microsoft products, I'm so glad I kept my wii. I'll probably be trading in my 360 and HD DVD player that I got with it for a Ps3, or I'll just cancel my xbox live membership. Probably both.

This is the first major problem I've had with mine, being that summer is almost here anyhow, I doubt I'll be playing it much anymore anyhow. I'd rather play wii fit and do outdoor activities. ^_^
