Anyone who was around in the early 90's remembers Geocities, as of yesterday, October 26th, it no longer exists. RIP my dear old friend. My Monster Rancher website will die right along with you.

wow, i had a few geocities sites but back then i preferred angelfire, geocities sometimes there ads would break my whole site i dont see why they would shut this down, it is just 1 domain, with tons of folders of sites that have TONS of advertising on them they will loose money here

Well I am all over the internet and havn't been to a single geocities in a few years. Maybe thats why. The # of sites out there now make the geocities virtually invisible today.

free hosting is garbage... o.o too messy and all unorganized, and it never shows in google searches, so you rarely get much traffic

You can usualy fix the color scheme yourself, even with free forums... you need basic HTML code knowledge... i only know color codes, and thats from admining a few forums... i can change colors pretty nifty now =3
