The flaring wings nearly radiated Mizu's entire face as she followed Din's trace with eager eyes. It looked like he had truly done what he said he would.

```
```

The boy distanced himself at a range from the coast from where he could run and leap, to take full advantage and grip over the air and let himself flow through the atmosphere. It was then that Nimbus remembered that he didn't yet have wings.

Hm. It doesn't matter. Wings or not, I'm getting to that airship. It's my only way off this destroyed island... Nimbus promised himself in his mind. He wasn't sure if he had lost his mind, or if he was just being chickeny; he wanted to reach that airship, and he wanted to get inside of it with all his passion, or rather, whatever passion in him was left.

In a quick purge of agility and reflexes, Nimbus began to run. He ran, with no regards to his lack of wings, nor to the mysterious abyss of blue he would be plunging into. His mind was focused on only three things: flight, stability, and life. And those three thoughts remained even as Nimbus leapt from the island, his eyes closed, tears dried from his eyes. He outstretched his arms, feeling the wind and air whip upon his face and body. Was he falling? It didn't matter to Nimbus; he was in the sky, smiling down at the clouds and raising his chin up to the sun.

It was at that moment of mysterious bliss and inner serenity that they bursted from his upper back --- wings. Large, soft, beautiful wings streaked in rays of gold and silver, with feathers tipped in a glowing vibrant flow of holy golden specks of light, released themselves from Nimbus' dying soul, emerging out from between his shoulders and stretching out gallantly like rays from the sun, lining themselves up to be parallel with Nimbus' outstretched arms.

Nimbus' wings had sprouted. And he was finally flying like the arrows.

Ed smiled, he had chosen to follow the boy to the airships and he was happy with his desicion, his wings fluttered in the air.  Quite frankly, he was just happy the boy could fly, that would make things a lot easier.

"Now let the fun begin, aye?" Ed asked Nimbus.  It was a moment of happiness he would never forget.

Nemo eyes shifted and adapted to the new light. The figure standing before him was not of that of Wrath. quite the opposite, he looked as if he were a rebel. Somehow, he looked familiar. Nemo covered his eyes with his arms. The light burned and his had to turn away.

"You know in Death Crater...the world is set into peril when that town is destroyed and turned into a lifeless hole, likewise, Daffodon is the begginnings of the destruction of Skyrazor."

He had no reason for saying this, maybe he jsut wanted to point it out. Nevertheless he wanted his wepons back and maybe even a towel to dry himself off. He had liked Daffodon and would mourn for its denizens, but bwefore anything, The figure before him had to stop blocking his path.

"Would you mind moving, please?"

Growing quite tired over the long trip, Mizu yawned as she continued to observe the sky through the telescope. The feathery clouds wafted about, slowly drifting in and out of view of the scope's lens.

I've got nothing better to do now, so I guess the telescope is enough entertainment. She thought, sluggishly pulling up a small iron chair beside the telescope and sitting into it, where she could comfortably peek through the clouds without having to shift into an uncomfortable position. Mizu's eyelids grew heavy, however, and she was soon drifting off to sleep, the lens of the scope taking in light of the blue sky.

Nimbus' wings did not falter; they continued to hold him on his gentle flight for as long as he kept his eyes open, and his arms oustretched.

The feeling of euphoria hadn't yet vanished from Nimbus' body and mind, and the wide smile still laid on his face. He was, however, quite confident and serious about what he was trying to do. The Tsunami airship wasn't too far away now. If Nimbus kept on his steady course, he would definitely catch up with the slow-moving giant airship. But what would happen once he reached it? Would the soldiers aboard the ship merely let him on with a welcoming embrace? And what about the necklace that he kept hidden?

Nimbus nearly lost his flight balance, his mind wandering off to other matters such as the soldiers trying to catch him. After all, they only wanted his necklace, they didn't want to take him. Or did they?

Turning his head back to face Ed, Nimbus began to speak, "Hey..." When he was sure he had his attention, he said, "Just wondering, but...How did you get your wings?"

"The day my master was murdered, one of the killers remained behind to deal with me," Ed paused for a moment feeling reluctant about sharing the information.  "I stabbed him 116 times before I was sadisfied."

He did not look to see Nimbus' face, though he was sure it sounded psychotic.  "Then I realized the others had flown away, out of sight," Ed continued.  "I was so angry I leapt out the window, but just before I hit the ground my wings sprouted."

Ed realized he must have left it on a bad note, so for comfort he threw it out there, "Hurt like bi-,"

Nemo squinted. The bright lights of the hallway went out, and now he his eyes had to shift BACK to the the darkness.

"Aye, why don't you lead the way---Uhh, I didn't quite catch your name."

He spoke softly to the stranger, he was helping him after all. Nemo, however still took precautions to protect himself if this stranger decided to betray him. started to move about the hallway, clanking his cuffs against a pipe. He thought it was highly stupid to cuff him inside his cell, how would he be able to wipe his butt after a bowel movement? he finally fell on the floor, the cuffs on his feet really did not help either.

"Hah. That actually sounds pretty badass," Nimbus said calmly, turning his body a little bit to steady his flight. "I'm a little more pathetic. I got mine just now only because I needed somewhere to go..."

Nimbus sniffled, squinting his eyes. His mind flashed back to images of his home, his bedroom. The wooden ceiling to which his eyes opened to every morning.

"My home just got blown up...What the hell am I to do?" Nimbus spoke, wiping away tears with his sleeve. He didn't want Ed to see him crying -- it would only make him look even more inferior to the guy. "Ah, there it goes. I almost started venting."

Something amidst the air woke Mizu up. She quickly opened her eyes, a feeling of alarm rising in her.

Was I dreaming? No, I wasn't...So why am I panicked? Bringing her palms to her face, Mizu felt the moisture of sweat trickling down her forehead. Her body felt unusually hot.

Mizu stood up, glancing around the room. Her fellow soldiers continued to monitor the airships engines; they were too busy to notice Mizu's sudden unease. She turned her head towards the back-window once more, and lowered herself into the chair to gain a view into the telescope again. She felt a strange sensation, almost like the clouds were calling to her. Placing her blue eye up to the lens again, she peered out into the blue ocean of air.

Her eyes immediately locked onto two isolated objects in the air. Were they moving? Mizu observed a pair of large white wings, with tints of gold and silver, on one of the figures. The other figure also bore his own wings. There two people out there flying, that much was evident from the objects' constant balance upon the wind. Mizu continued to observe the objects, as they seemed to become closer and closer...

"Mizu," one of the lieutenants called out. Mizu turned to see his alarmed face. He continued, "I believe I just heard a loud sound come from the cellar. Shall I investigate? I believe there is someone down there."

"Aah, no  [ [shit]]. Of course someone is down there, it's a cellar," Mizu snorted, shaking her head at the soldier. "It's a guy named Nemo, he's locked up."

"Are you sure?"

"Are you questioning my intelligence?" Mizu snapped, glaring at the man. "I'll have Daddy kill you in an instant. Stop trying to make me look stupid. I know what I'm doing."

"Well, I'm...I'm Denith, Denith Robinson, " he lied, "I was born and raised in the Autumn Continent," he told, at least that much was true and puled a cloth scarf out of his small pack which he gave to the man, "Dry yourself off."

Reios then turned and started heading back the way he came with the man he rescued close behind.

Nemo started to rinse himself off, drying his hair of which was slopped over in front of him, He followed him into the light at the end of the hallway, He didn't care why he saved him or where he was going, It was better than being in a cage. All he knew that since the man rescued him he had to pay him back in some sort of way.  However, "Nemo" had his reasons for being on this airship, but before anything could done he had to get back his weapons, and maybe he could even steal some gear.

"Thank you, Denith. Here's your scarf back. I was thinking maybe your had a towel but that is unlikely. I already had my own scarf. So, where are we headed now?"

He stopped at the intersection of the hallway. Beside him was a map. If they went left they would go the engine room, straight ahead was the armory, to the back of them was the cellar, and to the right was a staircase leading to the bridge.

Din approached Wrath's headquarters, landing onto the nicely paved ground leading up to the massive metal structure. Din's wings disappeared into his back and fiery eyes and hair blended back into it's original color. A nearby camera examined Din and a moment later the titanium blast doors slowly opened with a rumble. Din casually made his way inside. His steps echoed off the rich marble floor on the inside, making his way down the hallway, turning the corner once and into an elevator. Din pressed the button on the elevator panel to go to the lowest basement floor. The doors swung open sideways and he entered a dark room with red carpet leading up to a dimly lit throne where a dark looking man sat, his face shaded with darkness since the light didn't quite illuminate the area properly.

"The Bringer of The Red Sky, Din, Second Officer of Wrath, reporting." Din announced as he lowered himself to his knee and lowered his head.

"Welcome back, Din. Please make your report." The sinister voice replied.

"Mission 0341 completed. The city of Daffodon has been eradicated. Furthermore, no signs of the Hell Skyrune were found. Also, Tsunami showed up and I ordered them to leave. It seems like there may have been a clue to the finding of a sacred skyrune there. I let it go, seeing as whatever they manage to get hold of, we will know about. Please let me take responsibility for any wrong actions I may have made." Din explained.

"Nice work, Din. No need to feel as if there has been a wrong doing. You have done just as you ordered. Your actions will create a new future, be proud." The cold sounding man praised Din.

"Thank you, Draco-sama for such praise." Din replied respectively.

"No need for thanks. You will be given three days off starting tomorrow for your hard work. You have permission to leave headquarters if you wish. You are dismissed." Draco announced.

Din stood up straight, turned around fully and went back up the elevator to the main dormitories. The moment the elevator doors opened, Enyo was there waiting for him. She pounced off the marble floor and onto Din inside the elevator yelling, "Dinnnn!!!"

Din's emotionless expression did not waver, though he was pushed to the elevator floor with Enyo mounted on top of him with a heavenly smile on her face. "I've returned." Din said monotonously.

"Hahaha!" Hex laughed as he peered around the corner of the elevator doors. "The moment she heard the doors open, she electro-stepped to the elevator. She could have pounced on anybody since all she was thinking about was you." Hex laughed again.

"So! It's not like it would be Draco-sama coming up to the dormitories. I just wanted to see Din-sama as soon as I could!" Enyo whined, giving another pouty face and then turning to look at Din again.

"So are you going to get off me?" Din asked, he didn't look like he was in the mood. Din was never in the mood.

"Ohhhkaayyy!" Enyo giggled as she jumped off Din and landed perfectly outside the elevator. Din stood up and began slowly going down to his room. Enyo and Hex followed behind him. "Why are you guys following me?" Din asked, becoming more irritated.

"We're escorting you!" Enyo shouted, smiling again.

"Actually, I'm escorting you, while she is stalking you." Hex whispered to Din from a distance.

Enyo heard Hex and brought her leg up fast to kick him in the face. Hex blocked it easily like it happened over a million times before. Hex laughed and Enyo glared at him. Soon after they noticed Din took the chance to disappear from in front of them and was already in his room. "Wah!?" They said, quite confused. Din was laying comfortably on his bed, his tan bed sheets were piled up behind his head to rest on. Suddenly there was pounding on his door and it swung open with a bang as the door hit against the side of the wall while opening. Enyo burst into the room and onto the bed next to him. Hex came in slowly afterwards and made himself at home on one of Din's chairs. Enyo smiled and giggled happily as she cuddled one of Din's arms. Din sighed deeply. "Why do you two always need to hang around in my room?" Din asked.

"Because! Since you're Second Officer of Wrath, you have better chairs and food then us. I'm only Third Officer which is only one rank lower, but my chairs are harder then steel!" Hex complained.

"Yeah, and because Din is here!" Enyo giggled, squeezing on Din's arm more, her face pressed against it slightly.

Hex clicked a small button on the what appeared to be a coffee table. A screen lifted up from inside it and turned on. Soon after, a keyboard flipped out from the front. Hex began working with something on the computer there. "Not to mention you're system here is about ten times faster then mine." Hex added to his earlier statement.

"It's getting late, how about you two leave soon? I had a tiring mission." Din said quietly.

"Yeah, yeah, ok." Hex replied, waving his hand in acknowledgement.

"Aw, well, let's go somewhere together tomorrow, ok?" Enyo suggested with puppy-dog eyes even though it didn't matter since Din never paid attention.

"Ok. I have a few days off now anyways." Din replied.

"Yay!" Enyo squealed with excitement. She jumped off Din's bed as she said it.

"I have a date with Din tomorrow. I have a date with Din tomorrow." Enyo kept repeating over and over to herself with joy as she exited the room, closing the door behind her.

"Hahaha! I guess that's what it takes to get rid of her for a few hours just so you can sleep." Hex chuckled.

"Whatever." Din said, turning to his side as he shut his eyes in attempt to sleep. He had especially overdone it today. Techniques such as the one he used to destroy Daffodon are forbidden to most people even within Wrath. Not only that, but it takes an extremely large amount of energy to produce a huge area of flame and spread it to such an extent after condensing it, this adds to the explosion created too. Din then fell asleep earlier then he usually did, even with Hex busy in the room.

"Sometimes it is easier to have no home, we fight hardest knowing there is nothing left..." Ed added quietly.

The winds had picked up but they were not horribly difficult, it was a much easier ride to handle.  Ed recounted his first flight, it was cold and now, remembering it made him feel warm.  He had accomplished so much since then.  He had even figured out who the assassin was.  The one who had made his life Hell.

Night had begun to fall.

And it wasn't long before the massive Tsunami airship found its way to the airship dock of Blume, the Capital City of the Spring nation. It slowly hovered into the pier-like harbor at the coast of the city, which was filled with tons of workers, most of which worked to operate the loading dock, to grant entrance to the airships that flowed in. They worked constantly, despite the rising of the moon above them.

Three workers guided the Tsunami airship into the harbor, being sure to follow all safety maneuvers to be sure nothing got knocked over by the massive ship. When the ship came to a complete stop, they wiped their foreheads in relief; it was quite surprising they were able to successfully position the airship without any accidents. Remembering the rest of their duty, they hurried to the edge of the dock to fasten the latches from the harbor to the airship, preventing it from floating away in the abyss of sky.

The cat-walk slowly extended from the airship’s side, which faced the harbor. An iron door opened up instantly, and out stepped several soldiers, and a tall man with black hair and cold black eyes, most of his body and face covered by a thick black cloak, and a silver scarf that wrapped around where is mouth should’ve been, and trailed down to the floor behind him. He wore a thick, black turban-like bundle of scarves around his head, hiding even his ears. A short strand of white hair could be seen hanging over his left eyebrow. This was Seeker, the private ninja and assassin hired by General Nauvi to serve the Tsunami Forces.

He slowly walked down the walkway, quite ghost-like, the regiment of soldiers close behind him. They reached the bottom, and finally set foot on the harbor of Blume.

“Private Seeker, we’re very pleased to have you,” one of the workers greeted Seeker, and held out a hand to formally greet this visitor from the Winter Nation. Seeker merely ignored the man, and walked right past him, heading deeper into the harbor.

One of the soldiers stopped beside the worker and said, “It seems Blume is looking pleasant as usual. Have a good day, sir.” The soldier walked off, hurrying to catch up with his group.

Back at the airship, Mizu struggled to try and find the figure in the telescope that she had seen earlier. She lost sight of him when she turned to look out of the window at Blume, the city of forest and wonders. Had the winged figure fell through the sky? She didn’t see him any more. She yawned, then stood up from the telescope, stretching her arms. It didn’t matter any more; she was in Blume now, a beautiful city that was hers to explore. From her standpoint, entering Daffodon had been a complete waste of time, and the visit at Blume was sure to make up for the disappointment.

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Nimbus was very close to the ship now, to the point where he could smell the engines coming from it.
Damn, it’s much bigger than it looked from far away… Nimbus thought, pressing his hand up against the bottom of the ship. He was actually beneath it now, realizing that if he was seen, he could be shot from the sky with a single arrow. What confused Nimbus was the dock and city that the airship landed at. He had never read much, but he remembered seeing a similar city of pink and green forest in a picture book once. Could this be Blume, the Capital City of the nation? If so, what were the Tsunami troops doing here?

Nimbus immediately began to consider a very possible situation: were the Tsunami there to set it ablaze, much like what happened to Daffodon? "Damn, they’re taking over the nation. That’s gotta be what’s going on. I’m going into this ship, I’m sure all the passengers are out now. They probably can’t resist leaving to check out the city," Nimbus spoke to Ed.

Starting to get the hang of his wing manuevering, Nimbus glided to the side of the airship not facing the city. He neared a large rectangular window, through which he could see that there was no one inside. The window appeared to be a perfect entrance, given its nice size that would certainly allow entrance to Nimbus and his large white wings. Unfortunately, it wasn’t open, and Nimbus hesitated. Should he break inside? Or would alarms set off?

It didn’t matter to Nimbus, after several minutes of thought. He had no where else to go except for inside Blume, but there was a possibility that troops had already flooded into the city, looking for Nimbus. And Nimbus’ wings grew very tired, and his whole body was exhausted. He didn’t have much choice, so he unsheathed his blade from the strap on his back, then slashed it into the window. The whole pane of glass shattered and fell down into the sky, shimmering like crystals of ice as it all fell past Nimbus’ feet. There was no alarm, thankfully, but the loud shattering of glass was noise enough.

Nimbus leaped into the airship, withdrew his wings, and examined the airship, his sword at the ready. He had entered what seemed to be the armory; weapons, armor, and guns were everywhere, hanging up on hooks, sitting upon shelves. Furthermore, footsteps could be heard from behind the nearby door...

Myra had been staying in Blume for the past week and a half now. Her current mission was to study and observe Spring Nation's military affairs and wait for further orders. Myra studied the Tsunami ship landing in Blume from her hotel window. She wasn't particularly friendly towards Tsunami even though they were currently allied. As she watched out her window, Myra noticed Seeker in the docking area. She didn't actually know him in person, but she saw him plenty of times at Wrath and Tsunami meetings and such. Seeker was usually used in assassinations and elite missions for Tsunami. Does that mean they intend on killing an important Spring Nation figure? It's really no concern to me, but if they end up exposing me in anyway, they will regret it. Myra thought to herself defensively. She leaned over the window sill, resting her head on her arms, her red bangs dangled gently over her crimson eyes. I wonder how strong Seeker of Tsunami is... Myra sat in wonder. She was awfully curious since sparring was one of Myra's favorite activities.

"The whole damn nation?" Ed said more than asked.  What kind of person would do that?  He knew, but he said nothing.  He flew onto the deck seconds later and silently unsheathed his blades observing the deck floor.  It was empty... and quite.  He followed Nimbus to the armory looking around.

Ed lowered his voice to a whisper.

"Always did want one of these..."  Ed took a gunblade from the rack.  It was short and stocky, around a foot long with the blade extending a few more inches than the barrel.  It was attached to a leg belt that he fastened around his right leg.  The voices around the door were loud enough to make out but Ed hadn't been listening.  He put his ear out being careful not to get too close to the door in case it opened on them.

Hearing something down the armory hallway, Reios stopped Nemo and they cautiously walked down, with Reios' revolver drawn and ready to fire.

Upon reaching the door, he put his ear to it and heard some faint footsteps for only a moment, before it was drowned out by the noise of the engine not too far below.

Whispering, he told Nemo, "I think there's some guards getting some ammunition inside, I would normally say we should leave, but I think your weapons are inside, what do you want to do?"

Somewhere in the distance... a little town burns.  The trees are black from disease & decay, and the people are torn and aflame.

The metal body assassin stepped out from the shadows, carrying a folkperson's head in his right hand.  The neck was singed so no blood came out and the eyes were still from death.  A smaller man appears from around the corner, he is sleaker, and less muscular.

"David... where is he?  Hehehahaha!  Where is the boy?" the smaller man said creeping to fro.  The metal body assassin slapped the smaller man lightly, as if to daze him.

"He is gone... now eat," David says throwing the head at the smaller man.  He yanks it out of the air greedily and swallows it whole, his mouth expanding rapidly in the process.

"Ooo, yucky," he says, tearing strings of hair from his mouth.  "Overcooked, overcooked!" he shouts excitedly.

David walks forward but stops at a sound from his left.  Another townfolk.  Rapidly, he pulls his favored gunblade from its waist sheath and fires.  The man falls over blood seeping from the now visible hole in his head.  David walks over to the man, Snake huddling behind him.  He tilts his head and spits on the man, before it hits it becomes flame and so does the man.  Snake jumps at the sight of another meal but is slapped once more by David.

"Not yet, glutton," David says quietly.  He kneels down and grabs a ring from the man's finger.

"Can I eat him now?" Snake says happily.  The metal body assassin nods his head and Snake leaps at the chance.

David walked away, he could just now hear the crunching noises of the man's ribs.  After all, Snake liked to eat the heart before any other organ.

After a couple minutes of walking, Seeker and his four companions finally exited the harbor and entered the city square, where there were bustling crowds everywhere. Men and women scurried around, working to achieve their errands and get their own business done. Bright colorful lights cheerfully illuminated the darkness of the night. Blume was quite the appealing city, much more appealling than the vine-covered town of Daffodon ever was. Tall, beautiful trees of pink and green towered over everything, the buildings, the parks, the homes, and casted a large shade over all who welcomed the beauty of the Spring Nation. The entire city was arranged like a long road going up a hill. The city began at the foot of the hill, near the harbor, where Seeker and his troops stood, and its street turned and winded up the slope, which appeared to get thinner and more hidden in the clusters of trees. Occasionally, flurries of pink leaves fell from the trees, landing all over the buildings and parks and homes. The citizens didn’t mind; for some people, the leaves were like mental and emotional herbs for those who were suffering in life --- you press a pink leaf against your heart and you could expect to feel happier for a while.

At the very high end of the slope street, a gigantic palace of white marble stood gallant in the breeze, almost as tall as the pink forest encompassing the city of Blume. Like the rest of the buildings, however, a massive crowd of pink and green trees stood around and over the palace, often letting leaves drop onto its lime green, cone-shaped rooftop. Attached to the palace, several narrow pillars of marble reached into the air, some bearing circular windows.

The entire city did not appeal to Seeker however, quite a contrast to his companions behind him, who all gazed in wonder at the sights. One soldier mumbled, “This is definitely a pretty city.”

"We can enjoy the sights in the morning. For now, we shall sleep," Seeker declared. He and his troops headed for the nearby inn, where they reserved a room to rest for the night.

“What a beautiful place,” Mizu spoke quietly, looking out of the opened window at the harbor and the rest of the city. The bright lights looked astonishing. She caught sight of Seeker and the four soldiers, who had just recently exited the ship and entered the inn, leaving her all alone on board, with the exception of the airship main manager, Zephoris, who was most likely asleep somewhere in his office...

They suggested that she stay behind while they handled business. She knew she wasn’t going to obey them, but would they just let her be a rebel? So she decided to let the soldiers get quite a distance away before she would begin to explore. For now, she would have to settle down and head off to sleep...

"The footsteps stopped..." Nimbus said quietly, after several minutes had passed. Perhaps the soldiers had run off.

Nimbus involuntarily let a yawn escape his lips as he turned to face Ed. "Grab whatever you want, I guess. But I'm tired as hell."

Nimbus knew that he desperately needed sleep. But where could he lay down to rest? In the room of weapons and steel? The situation would've put Nimbus' life at risk very easily. What if soldiers had forced their way into the armory while Nimbus slept, and he was impaled in his sleep by a long, death-tipped spear? Nimbus could not and would not allow himself to remain so exposed in the dark of night. So then what could he and Ed do?

"Listen...We're gonna have to sleep in here for now. This may be the only safe place on the ship, and we can't risk trying to move out to a different room," Nimbus explained. He gave Ed a serious stare. "One of us are gonna have to stay awake for a couple of hours to be watch-guard or whatever. Then we can switch. How does that sound?"

"Not like we had many choices anyway," Ed answered him.

Ed weighed his probabilities.  He did not know this character well, perhaps it was best to first, for that very reason.  Of course, he had no intention of harming this one, it was curious as to why the soldiers had attacked him and left.  So much time had passed now, all ed could do was wonder.

"I think I'll watch first, just a precaution..."
~Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call.~
