terms terms..... no matter how hard one tries to avoid the topics like this sometimes people just bring them up. Remember what happened last time? yes the Obama ad when everyone was in a frantic scatter when they learned I was black and reading the post. But whatever I am use to the death of the black characters in all movies. I think its just the way people think, look in Japan prime example none of the main characters in their movies are considered japanese and if they are they have the american customs. in all their games the main characters are white males ( there are few asian anime characters and even fewer black or latino).
Just recently the first african american was made as a main character of a video game and that was grand theft auto san andreas ( i think thats right) but what ever the matter when people are ready ( which will be never "completly" they will open their minds up to newer ideas).

ok I was watching G4 the other day and on attack of the show they had a bunch of fetishes. some of them were plain weird....

just like every other cultures there are many differences between film.
In france> everyonetypically dies in their horror/drama movies In germany> its not uncommon to have a s'e'xn sceen in the movie that is unedited.
And pleanty of other examples. I do not remember the country but in one of them women are never the main character. Something that is common by our standards and uncommon by other countries is that we barely have nudity. Plus in most movies in america their is a happy ending.
So this is just one of the many trends that come with different cultures, though I do only think america shares this one to themselves. Thats why I like foreign films because the happy ending and the stupid stuff over and over again, i mean we all can go to any moie now and pick the main character out in like the first 20 min of the movie, and then tell everyone that will die and how the movie ends. [drool]
