I agree, i played it for an hour and stop playing. it was my bros anyways. i did not like it, it was nothing like any other FF game it was too medival age and the battle system sucked.

I found the battle system to be pretty cool and convienent/new-age.

plot sucked, and yea it was way too European medieval.

Vaan acted too snobby like Cloud did and looked too much like Zidane but with a child's runny red nose.

Characters learning whatever weapon you like was a nice change, but the logical application itself was absurd.

Were there Summons?

Hunts were cool. nice little MMO style monster hunting to ease grinding for lvls. Although, the first monster is a [cen] ing TOMATO.

BOTTOM LINE:
Nice refreshing concepts packaged in old shit.

Post by: Flashwerewolf on February 23, 2009, 11:44:43 PM: yeah FF went from Nintendo, to Playstation and now over to the FPS/Sci-fi Xbox gamers.

Personally, I see it like I saw the election. I don't really like either PS or Xbox to have FF, but I do agree its time for something different.

PS2 ruined the series for me.

Xbox is going to take it even farther from the classical comical D&D out in the wilderness feel from the Nes and PS1 ownership.

We'll see if its the end of the franchise as its buried beneath all the other games that are the same that Xbox puts out.

And hey, I'm not complaining HD-DVD quality is good enough for me. I don't need fancy Blu-Ray to keep me happy. Not until all systems use Blu-Ray. Although, I could buy a PS3, just so Sony loses more money. :D

And, FW, you're right. 90% of the games that the 360 comes out with are practically the same game. But, I like those same games, so I keep on playin' 'em. ;D Depends, though.

I'd love to play some more original games, but... Sadly, most ideas have already been THOUGHT of, so if you think about it, what more could developers really come up with? It's just the same old mechanics, packaged in shiny new casing.
