Title: My indoor garden
Post by: bloo-apple on October 06, 2011, 12:38:32 AM: Hey 4m! I picked up a new hobby, gardening! and I am doing it indoors now. I am growing a bunch of types of flowers, but my favorite flower in this garden are the ipomoeas. (morning glories)

Here is a picture of my week old morning glories.

Here are some more morning glory sprouts, these are 2 days old.

this is a bunch of random seeds I had left over. these are about 3 days old.

I also have a bunch more flowers growing, but they arent as exciting to look at as these pictures, if you want to see more then... request and it shall be done.

it is the oldest living species of tree, its considered to be a living fossil. I found a great Time Lapse of one on youtube.

Well I actually had 5 of these beauties, but no more :( they died a tragic death from transplanting and light stress, here is a picture of when they were healthy

Just posting an update of my morning glories, I just repotted them yesterday, they are about 2 weeks old. The others aren't doing as well, I will post more pics when they look more developed. It's a very rewarding feeling growing them.
Cannot wait to start making my own morning glory wine. [giggle]

Here are some more morning glories i have growing out of a pickle jar, they are growing a lot healthier than the ones in my pot, i bet its because theres more room for the root growth... behind them are my moon flower sprouts. :) These are both about 1 week old.

Here is my First Morning Glory Plant that I planted. It's now 36 days old.

I transplanted the pickle jar Morning Glories into a pot finally... It's looking really healthy, and better than the other one. It's a couple weeks younger too. Here it is at 4 weeks.

Here are my morning glory plants again! They are Both growing very nicely. No signs of flowers but I am getting some weird looking sacks growing around the nodes where the leafs come. I want them to flower, does anyone know about how long it takes for these to flower? I been looking everywhere online and cannot find an answer...

So I was never really interested in these morning glories i had growing until last night, they just started to bud up and might flower tomorrow morning! I am very excited these look very beautiful. Here are my purple morning glories. I wish I would of been posting updates of these ones...

There are also flowers in the same family called Four O Clocks, that bloom around 4:00 pm, and there are also Moon Flowers that are in the Morning Glory Family.

My Heavenly Blue Morning Glories are about to Flower!! Here is the first sign of a Morning Glory when it is about to flower

Post by: bloo-apple on November 18, 2011, 01:48:36 AM: It's pretty big now, no flowers have bloomed off of it still. I am pretty sure it's because I have been giving it way too much light, but that's OK! I am thinking the longer I hold off on letting it flower, the more flowers I will have.

I have this florescent light I use to keep it lit up at night ;)

How do you take care of them? I actually grew all my flowers from seeds, You can't pay too much attention to them, don't over fertilize or over water. I killed a few plants that way. Just water them when they begin to wilt, the flowers wont come until it's there season to flower. When they are baby plants, u can keep them lit as long as you want, i bought a flourescent light to help them grow up. Once they were old enough (2 - 3 months old), they pretty much take care of themselves. Plants typically need atleast 12 hours of light a day.
