Yes, there is finally a third Transporter movie coming out. Woo!!!!! (http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/Images/stories/2008/aug/tp3trailer.jpg)
Jason Statham is back again as Frank Martin in the explosive popular action series from French film biggie Luc Besson. A full official synopsis has not been released yet but what we do know from the trailer is that Frank has a dangerous bracelet on his wrist that will detonate if removed. The action in the trailer looks freaking awesome and since the movies are now being handled by Lionsgate Entertainment, Transporter 3 could achieve an R-rating, just like his past several Lionsgate releases (Bank Job, Crank, War, Death Race). I own both the First and Second Transporters :D
The second one they did over do everything again, he pulls off a time bomb off his car by jumping off a ramp at a crane's hook that pulls the bomb off his car...

What's wrong with the Transporter series, FW? Jason Statham kicks ass!
That it is a series is what bugs me. When they ended the first one, the Transporter kicked butt, saved the day and hooked up with the babe and that was that. Thats the Transporter Movie.
But as its turned out, something else happens and the transporter saves the day again!...and he will again in this one... there will always be action, sexyness, and an epic ending. Way too predictable. Why bother seeing it?
If they changed the name, same actors from transporter, and any plot details from the first movie, it would be a good action flick, but they never do, they slap a sequel together because the name sells. it all comes down to marketing and thats when I call it quits.
But maybe i'm just an unusual.

but FW, that's the way plenty of movies have been for years!
Take the Die Hard's, for instance. Bad guys take some facility/etc under siege, hold a hostage, so Bruce kills the villains and rescues the hostage.
Movie series's have been in a simple formula for a LONG time. That's the way it's always been.

And I've never been a fan of them. I guess with so many action sequels out there, I enjoy finding a movie that works with me a lot more, since they are hard to come by.
