Title: Different Art Methods
Post by: Adelaide on July 22, 2009, 08:48:18 PM
Well, I've been looking up a few different methods of art, besides my typical chalk pastel method. I like exploring different areas of art, and learning where I have natural talent to improve, and where I might have some potential with a lot of practice. So far I've attempted water color painting, hand drawing (Both realism and other), oil painting, chalk pastels, a tiny bit with oil pastels, and tons of shading and graduating pieces. I've also done a little bit of ink art; stippling, squibbling, cross stitching, ect. Since I'm doing really good in chalk patel drawings, I decided I'm moving on to something else for now. I am terrible in any kind of painting, I tried several types, it is way to uncontrolled for me to work with.
So, I am showing you guys a few different art methods, for you guys to maybe consider to:
Freehand DrawingsDrawing with a pencil, pen, or other controlled hand held drawing untenil (http://chineseartstore.com/catalog/images/medium/3477-chinese-cats-charcoal-drawing-detail-cas.jpg)(http://pencildrawings.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/rose-pencil-drawing-02.jpg)(http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3188/2581537172_93458c0d39.jpg)(http://www.mde-art.com/art-blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/painting-woman-profile.jpg)(http://www.zmorningsun.com/sandratsao/images/drawing004.jpg)(http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_t1zHnkXd8P0/SKEZYusNf4I/AAAAAAAABoI/HgK8ZAX-YzE/s400/ballpoint+drawing.jpg) Charcoal, Pencil, Colored Pencil, Marker, Wax Crayon, Ballpoint Pen Loose InkUsing uncontrolled ink and dabbling and smearing it across the canvas (http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/835/ink.jpg) Loose ink
Loose ink is the one I plan on giving a try next, I've done some stippling, and would like to try something completely new. I'll post some picture once I purchase ink and start using it =P
That bird is amazing, I love how the artists made it! Its so incredible... The fullsize image is here it was a little overwhelmingly large to post on 4M: http://www.docmartins.com/pages/images/Final%20Tiki%20Cropped.jpg
But there you can see the millions of little dots used to make that work up. So awesome =]
