The new 'Ball Lightning'
« on: August 28, 2009, 07:43:57 AM »
Wizards of the Coast has been reprinting and remaking a lot of the older cards as different colors. What caught my eye was the new 'Ball Lightning' which adds a huge power bonus to red/green now if you combine both of these 6/1s.

Ball Lightning: 6/1 RRR

Trample
Ball Lightning may attack on the turn during which it is summoned. Ball Lightning is buried at the end of the turn during which it is summoned.

(The text above basically means Haste)

Groundbreaker: 6/1 GGG

Trample, Haste
At the end of turn, sacrifice Groundbreaker.

In my opinion, this is CRAZYYY AWESOME.

lol I have that ball lightning. Weird how they made it green now o.o
UNAFFECTED BY SUMMONING SICKNESS! that definition phrase keeps getting shorter and shorter. I wonder what comes after haste.

It's black bordered? The one you have?

If so, it's an 18 dollar card.

Yeah, maybe call it Fast, =P

They have something a little newer called Flash where you can play it as though it were an instant.

Ya its from The Dark, its not from an edition, tho I have an edition one too. I have a bunch of cards from that era all the way to urza saga.
I loved the Ice age block but Mirage block is my favorite. It had more of a dark voodoo feel to it.
Tempest was sweet because it was the start of their own storyline that included characters and story into the sets.
Urza was real generic and was very simple. The new card abilities made playing with older cards almost impossible.
