Title: The Dumbing of a nation and possibly the whole world!?

the other day ive come to realize somthing,
you know me and kinjo dwell about the good ole days of videogaming and you know in some ways we feel like kids dont keep themselves knowleged or care about the past even if its things they would conventionaly enjoy, Well ive learned that as it goes with TV shows, web popularity and other Intrests people have Accross the board its all the same issues, as i listened to my espn sorts talk radio today, they talked about Popularitys of tv shows vs how good or great they really were, if they dont have a main biased fanbase no one trys anything new or really like shows like american idol or hells kitchen, and even 24, now i dont want to get into the particulars of this show sucks cuz of this and i dont like keifer sutherland, the point im trying to make is theres more people in america now than ever and its always going to increase where at a point nearing 400 Million people when it was hard to think of reaching 300 million at 2000 and in the 1950's-1980's Tv shows would total 30-50 Million people watching episodes of series, Super Bowls, Sitcoms game shows, you name it, so in an age where americas populations are booming how is it that even though the shows are better then anything in the past era they are lucky to get a gross net viewership of around 11-20 Million tops and the only thing that gets 30-40 million is the super bowl.?
Now cross reference that info and questions with this ideal opinion i also heard today Sports Viewship intrests across every sport proves that there are teams that we dont care if they are great they will have Little intrest, and then Because of Teams past succsess and sports heros will always be icons and have more National intrest even if they are Horrible.
Take for instance the Utah Jazz, conventionaly they are a Great consistent NBA team complete sellouts and make the playoffs year in year out and Field Great teams because its the only Prosport in the state, but their revenues are some 100-200 Milion $ less yearly then the Chicago Bulls Boston celtics and LA lakers, yet prior to last year the LA lakers are the only team that earns its income, the Bulls are a NBA atrocity.
Now, this information coreleates to this years College Footballs Bowl games TV ratings, Everyone will watch Notredame no matter how bad they are, and the ratings income for Utah's perfict Season are of 1/4th even though it was also a More Premier Bowl game that meant more.
and so the point goes No one that loves Good baseball will watch the Kansas City Royals even if they are a Better team than the Yankees..
But the point im also trying to make is Somewhere along the line im starting to feel like People are sheep, they dont make discesions they dont make descisions for themselfs, they dont decide to like anything and they just jump on a Bandwagon of someone elses opinion and you know there always was a lvl of this but its starting to feel like its coming out Alot more than usual and it makes you feel bad and scared of society as a whole and so i want to ask you guys Why is it like this what do you care about in this world!?

I watch what team I like. :P
I watch the good shows and try the bad ones...
But most of all I think its Fred from youtube destroying the world.
