voice activation has been implemented in some areas of computer use, tho it won't become a standard ever, who wants to talk all day when they can type? Plus it would make "computer, go to embarrassing-to-say-out-loud-pron-site..." well, embarrassing. :B
In many aspects of progress there is a point where something is made that cannot be replaced by a greater product. Much like the color war that video games had with 8bit, 16bit, and 32bit. There are only so many colors the human eye can see, thus 32bit was the end of the race, improvement doesn't exist.
The internet is the 32bit of connectivity and entertainment in our world.
