THANK YOU, I'm glad someone else here besides me glorifies 80s action movies. Best decade for action, no question about it. Sly and Arnie were at the top of their game & Van Damme and Seagal were just getting their big start. This particular Rambo film is my favorite in the series, just based on the all-out action that goes on and yet it still retains a strong plotline. However, it is not my favorite Stallone film.

This is.

Rambo: First Blood i read sparked the start of action films.

Nonsense, action films have been going on for ages. If anything, First Blood and several Charles Bronson films sparked the action genre craze. The genre itself, however, began with The Great Train Robbery in 1901.

First Blood started the 80s action film craze. The sequel was basically the captain of it, along with Commando.

You're missing what I said--I said that R:FB2 is the captain of 80s action along with Commando, but it didn't start it. A trend of muscle-man action films basically began with Charles Bronson's The Mechanic, followed by his continuous '70s action catalogue and the Stallone film Nighthawks, then the full '80s action sensation began with First Blood (part one of the series).
