Title: American Cartooning vs Japanese Anime (which one is better?)
Post by: Omega on January 21, 2009, 01:07:00 PM
Okay, I know everyone gonna say "Japanese Anime rocks... for this reason and that reason" but if you know me I could [cen] care less (lol, kinda kidding on that... kinda).
My vote will anyways be for American Cartooning... because the art just sucks compared to the animation and art skill Japan will continue to show. But I love sucky art, after all, that's all I make. [yoshi]

American Animation paved the way for japanese animation
the techniques and animation of american cartoons have gone down,
but if you watch old, mickey mouse, looney tunes, those were the best examples of great animation
the japanese take to many short cuts in there animation
here is an episode of south park making fun of anime

what tkoold doesnt know, is that its hanna barbaras fault animation went down hill, they used the same model sheets for all there characters just swaped parts out, and started the limited amount of animation techniques
the only good thing to come out of the hanna barbara was the backgrounds
