UPDATE:

just got back from the movie, and I must say it wasn't bad, but it was disappointing to me in a  few ways...

1. Plot: too much and/or wasn't flushed out enough to make me care about the mission they went on. It reminded me a lot of the last Rambo movie, which also felt strange with its 'rescue the princess' themes that felt out of place with the gruesome overkill that is unleashed to those standing in the way of the action stars. Stalone isn't good at delivering these sorts of plots, but I bet it makes him feel like a great humanitarian.

2. Kind of similar to #1, the action vs relevance of the plot within the world of the movie didn't fit each-other. It was two extremes that made me feel bad while watching the gruesome overkill and snoozing in my seat during the heavy dialog bits.

3. Too many stars on one team. The bad guys had Steve Austin, and thats it. Very one sided and of course no one dies because of this. Felt like a cop-out when he could have made it more interesting with more evenly distributed sides.

4. The girl was really out of place and I feel she was only in it so that Stalone could re-live some fantasy of his, saving women in distress. I'd rather just eat them.

5. They advertised the hell out of the fact that they have so many bad-asses in the movie, yet most of them did nothing but stand there and say a line or two. Granted most of them can't act, and I am glad they weren't given more than enough chances but come on, the movie would have been the same with only the main four characters, hell, three even.

But there were great things about the movie as well...

1. The dozen or so gruesome overkill bits that occurred during the movie were amazingly awesome. Great audience responses.

2. Knives, lots and lots of knives. I really enjoy knives and am a knife man if given the choice in games, so I was glad that they more than held their own in the movie... well fine, I'll just say they tied. ;P

3. For the most part, the actors worked well with the characters they were. Jet Li was pretty tame, to my disappointment, but he still fit his role well. The movie really was just an action-duo movie, but had a bunch of extras giving them a hand, just so happened the extras were all badasses.

Jagermeister and cherry coke don't mix too well, but it got me thru the movie.

I saw the midnight showing of this last night and couldn't get enough of it!! The action was absolutely top-notch and the development moved along very well. Each fight scene was fantastic, and the finale had so many moments of wow's and clapping throughout. **SPOILER ALERT** Everyone in the megaplex flew back in their seats when Jason Statham broke Gary Daniels's neck with his foot, as well as the badass part when Terry Crews came marching in with his AA-12 blazing. **END SPOILERS**

Definitely the best action movie since Die Hard. No doubt about it.

"when Jason Statham broke Gary Daniels's neck with his foot, "

Invented a whole new way of breaking someones neck!

I dunno, everyone was invincible in that movie, which limits how awesome it was for me.

SAW IT!!!

I like the fact it was full of action, and they didn't add sex, i hate when movies just randomly put in a sex scene just to have it.

Only complaint is that you only see Arnold and Bruce 1 time, then no more. I hope Sylvester Stallone makes more movies!
