New Super Mario Bros Wii Review

So my copy of the new SMB game today, so far from what I've played it's pretty cool. I should note that this game did require a system update which for my console, wasn't really possible, so I had to find an alternate way of playing it(Gecko and HBC ftw!) Anyhow, as for gameplay: The new powerups are pretty crazy, the propeller hat is by far one of my favorite new things, another new powerup is the ice flower which throws ice fireballs and turns every enemy into a block of throwable ice. Using the wii remote sideways is a nice change of pace and works really well for this game. I was kind of worried it would be another nunchuck required game, and thankfully, it's not. I would've liked to have seen a classic controller option avilable, but game is good regardless. Haven't played multiplayer yet but from what I hear it can be more challenging. Will let you guys know more as I get to play more of it.

but I still need to play and beat all the mario games on ds, they usually have the graphics of a N64.

As far as I know, the classic controller does not. You hold the wii remote sideways(similar to Super Paper Mario). Haven't really come across a lot of games that use that though, Naurto, Need For Speed, and Smash Bros Brawl are the only ones I can think of off hand that aren't VC games. I got one for my birthday, thing has been a godsend for NFS:Underground. Game is 100 times easier now. You really should rent Madworld for the wii, that game was tons of fun even if the controls did take a little while to get used to.

Yeah my lil brother got this game as i was at my moms house the other day, SMB Wii is fun the multiplayer modes are crazy, they are fun but its not really made for beating the levels really as most often even with 2 players you create more trouble for eachother and it begins to feel like a competition for who can stay alive the longest and yet never get the lvl beat and then 3 or 4 player is just beyond crazy lols the powerups are cool, i love how elements from every classic mario 2D scroller are in this game theres even times you get a POW box lols and the ice flower is a Cool twist for a new idea the 3d Graphics on this 2 D Scroller game are outstanding and the game has very creative ways for being very hard and challenging and yet not so much that you get mad at the game and stop playing, Nintendo did a great job!

new super mario bros? (ds), its alot like super mario world just updated graphics and full of new features
i finally played it when waiting for a meeting, i got pretty far
it was fun, i do want to play the new wii game too

The one for the DS is pretty fun, I definitely like the wii one better though, haven't played it for a while though as I've been too busy with Wario Land:Shake It! and Christmas shopping.

i am disapointed, i tried the new Wii game, and it was exactly like the DS game New Super Mario Bros
the maps, everything about mario, the levels
i do feel a little gypped
