The CIA can't afford John T. Booker....
ALIVE!I was pretty skepitcal about it at first, not hearing many good things from it. Chuck plays an ex-member of the Black Tigers, which screwed up a mission in 'Nam and now the CIA is killing all of them off. Of course, Chuck can't be killed and he tries to solve this problem by backspin-kicking everybody in San Francisco, which proves useful.
If anything, the best part of this movie is (SPOILER) when Chuck performs a flying kick into a car windshield and breaks the driver's neck with his mighty feet. It's one of the coolest things I've seen from a '70s movie since Lee Marvin's epic ballpunch from
Point Blank.
BOTTOM LINE: Buy this movie--Ted Post directed it and doesn't disappoint in the least (for a '70s MA flick). It's better than
Breaker! Breaker!...then again, most everything is.
