CN Orders 2 New Series, More Flapjack and Adventure
Thursday, August 13, 2009 By: Thomas J. Mclean
Cartoon Network has given the green light to two new animated comedy series: Regular Show and Horrorbots.
The network also announced it is ordering more episodes of the series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and a new season of scripts for the series Adventure Time.
Regular Show is the creation of J.G. Quintel, who developed the idea as a short for the network’s Cartoonstitute. The series is about two bored groundskeepers —Mordecai, a 6-foot-tall blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon — who entertain themselves as best they can, annoying their gumball machine boss Benson and pleasing Pops. Quintel was creative director on Flapjack for two seasons, as well as a storyboard artist on Camp Lazlo. The series will be produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank.
Horrorbots is about a pair of outsider teenage droids facing high school on the planet Killglobe, which is populated by ultra-powerful robots. The show will be produced in New York and was created by Michael Buckley, whose credits include The Sisters Grimm, and Joe Deasy.
The order for Flapjack will bring the total number of episodes for the series to 46. The new segments will be made at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank.
The purchase of new Adventure Time scripts precedes the show’s debut, which is set for 2010. The series is created by Pendleton Ward.

Sounds very cool! Actually, they sound alot like something you would come up with, kinjo.
It's just a shame I'm not of young age to watch CN anymore.

Poor JB. Who knows, maybe some day Marv will have his own cartoon......but not on CN. He is way above that, as is the subject matter. I highly doubt CN would let me do blowjob jokes on there.

Marv and Disney? They'd make me change his skin color and his name to Marv the Musician.

No they'd prolly make you change his name completely, because everyone is so sue happy than they'd be scared of copyright laws
