Title: The Karate Kid is a Awesome Movie!

So yeah last night i went to see this movie and it was totaly awesome Way WAY better then the original and its really inspiring! im gonna own it on dvd.

it is amazing it puts the Original movies to shame and makes it so much a better story!

It looked like a forced ghetto movie to me, and exaggerated fighting/training feats as well. Will Smith's Son, and Jackie Chan...no thanks.

Actually the story works out great cuz you have a mom forced to move from detroit to china because she works at the ford factory, a kid trying to fit in at school, falls for a girl but then gets bullied by other kids cuz hes to good at basketball, and learning karate is the only way he can earn respect in china.

LIKE HELL! No way on this planet could a remake backed by Will Smith and his lousy kid EVER be better than the original Karate Kid. That movie is a bona fide classic and in no way could be topped by a bunch of shmucks.
Having said that, why the hell is it called The Karate Kid if he learns Kung Fu?

Why they even bothered to remake The Island of Dr. Moreau in the first place is beyond me. They actually remade Night of the Hunter back in like 1994 with some shitty sunken-faced mustachio'd bastard who doesn't hold a mere candle to Robert Mitchum.

I dunno, its pretty funny what they decide to remake.. and then sometimes stuff is remade a 3rd time! [durr]
I recently read the Dr. Moreau book actually, and netflix ONLY had the later 90s version.. that was a waste :/
speaking of, I also heard the original Inglorious Bas. was way better..

As far as Inglourious Basterds goes, it's not really a remake of the italian war flick. The original Enzo G. Castellari film, Inglorious Bastards was basically just The Dirty Dozen, only Italian and more action packed. Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (notice the different spelling) is similar to the original IB, but just in the sense of a rag-tag group of convict-soldiers going into Nazi-occupied France to take out the trash.
