Most of On Demand is free, except for pron, new movies, and episodes of CSI.

Pay per view costs, you usually get hours to watch the movie so if you miss parts the first time you can watch it again

On demand is free, or it is for now at least, but i think Direct TV was and/or is considering charging for it, but that hasn't gone through yet.
