Title: A chance encounter with death.
Post by: Kedzor on August 27, 2009, 06:34:09 PM
Today i was walking trough my living room, bored to tears. Out of nowhere i hear a loud THUNK against the large sliding glass doors in the rear of my  house.
A common Grey dove had flown into it, and was lying crippled on the back porch. As i went to investigate it tried to fly away on a broken wing. I soon had caught the poor thing, and knowing that a broken wing is a death sentence for a bird i ripped its little head off quickly, so as to minimize the suffering.

This isn't my first time doing this, i hunt these guys every year in August. They are delicious stuffed with jalapeno and wrapped in bacon.

This was a learning experience, as i can now confirm the myth that the head stays alive for about 20 seconds after dismemberment.

I had no idea a broken wing is a step away from death.

If it can't fly, it has no way of finding food or escaping predators. It really has no option other than waiting for something to eat it.

What the HELL people? What i did was an act of mercy! How the shit am i going to go all House on a goddamn pigeon! If i were endangering the species, that would be different. However, there are a thousand of these things in a damn square mile in the city! In fact, I'm doing nature a FAVOR by removing the bird dumb enough to get it's wing broken from the gene pool. If you guys think I'm wrong you can BITE. MY. GENITALS.

If you cook it, the bacteria goes away.

... Maybe not the viruses, though.
