D; BUT XICOR! I DONT WANNA BE MATURE! *throws herself on the floor kicking and screaming* WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TRYING TO CONTROL ME?! T_T
*throws potato at you*
Okay. Now I'll be mature.
You are wrong. Everything you said is wrong and you were so incredibly s3xist that I took offense to a huge portion of that post. I actually don't like Twilight or New Moon. I think they are overrated and the fandom they received was more than it deserved. I read a lot, and I've read books of far less popularity and written with far more ability on the author's behalf, that deserve credit much more so than Stephanie Meyer. In fact, if you read posts before your own in topics, you would realize I already posted that I didn't like the movie, and could have spared me your s3xist rant.
The only reason the Twilight series got as popular as it was, was because the ability of Stephanie Meyer was not too advanced nor too basic for the crowd her books were directed towards, so just about anyone could read and understand the text, without having to figure things out and the plot of the tale met the audience's standards.
You made too much out of something much simpler. I've met guys who have liked the books and movies as well, so don't direct this at girls only. Yes, the romance aspect appeals to females and no, the movies wouldn't appeal to guys so much, since its basically a bunch of shirtless guys prancing around a screen.
I think Stephanie Meyer's tale on vampires is horrid, and the fact the sparkle in the sun is so ridiculous. Next time, I'd advise you not to make so many assumptions and generalizations, especially in regards to me, and I would also advise against the snide, yet blatant remarks.
