o.o My summer went by alright.
In the VERY beginning, it was miserable, because my parents were fighting fighting fighting because they were due for a divorce in July, and my dad was just angry. Eventually my mom felt bad and gave him ANOTHER chance, so next year we have to play this game all over again... I finally thought it was going to happen this year, which honestly would be a relief, because for them its like walking on ice, never knowing when everything's just gonna fall through.
After getting of the backlash of what seemed a surefire divorce for about half a year, things started easing up, I got to working, and it was gewd until my boss started taking advantage of me, so now I am looking into other places to work, and once that happens, I am quitting my current job.
My social life has been lacking because of the seclusion in the woods, but that's okay, I have the interweb, which creates some sense of a false social life.b =P Is these darn woods. Nothing but a soda machine for miles on out.
I had mt Sweet 16 which was a lot of fun, I enjoyed that a lot. The weather has been to cold to swim in the pool, so that is mostly an aesthetic I guess... The beach was fun BOTH times, and we might be going again before the summer is out!
My dad lost his job, because he is too experienced (about 20 or so years as a mechanic) and his company can't afford his wages, so they hired a younger less experience mechanic that they can pay lower wages to.
As a result of that, the state will contribute money towards tuition for me to go to a private christian school, and though I'm not find of having to take religion classes, the new experience and great chance at something new is exciting! I have to wear a uniform, but that doesn't bother me much at all, because I've always found that uniforms helped eliminate discrimination and cliques. If everyone is dressed the same, how do you know who can and can't afford main brand stuff, and who belongs to what social group? We mostly identify those people by appearance which is harder to achieve if everyone is wearing the same thing. It is an attack on individualism, but the pros seem to weigh out the cons, in my opinion. Not to mention I'm getting in the school off scholarships, only have one working parent, and things from here are looking bad for us financially; my biggest fear is that this school will be full of wealthy kids and I won't be able to fit in with them all. But, as long as I just be myself, and not ever have to discuss wealth with anyone... Well then it isn't a problem! I hope...
So overall, my summer has been kinda dull, with some exciting things, like recently learning to animate, or making some new friends. =] I am hopeful that the up coming months will be nothing but fun.
