Not sure if any of you know about the store called FYE, it is like a Sam Goody or Music Land. They are closing alot of there locations. Normally there prices are jacked up (regular cds $19.95, dvds $29.95), so everything must go for 50-70% off.
I find a few games I wanted which were half off. Tomb Raider ($7), Crackdown ($10), Dragon Ball Origins (DS $6) and Blue Dragon ($7).
I get home, open Blue Dragon its missing the game instead it has Naruto Path of the Ninja disc. Which is just 1 disc. SO THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG GAME!
This FYE i went to was a 45 min drive. (I went with a friend) So i really didnt want to drive all the way out there, plus the only way I know how to get there is through TOLL ROADS....
So i go to the closer FYE at the florida mall.(They are closing down too.) I dig through all there stuff, they have them all out in such a mess. BAM! I find blue dragon! YAY I can exchange! I go up to the register he opens Blue Dragon and it is missing disc 3! I CANT CATCH A BREAK! [ms] So i just said fine, swap it out, I just wanted to play the game..
Good thing is i walked over to Game Stop and they have it for $10 bucks used.
So lastly, yesturday I beat disc 2 and it said please insert disc 3... which i dont have [rocket]
UPDATE: So today i went to gamestop and picked up another copy of blue dragon for 10 bucks. So total blue dragon has costed me 17 dollars and gas moneys!

That sucks, good to know about the FYE, I might make a drive out to MOA and go find me some cheap video games and movies. I hit up Circuit City pretty frequently when the brick and mortar stores went under, picked up Prince of Persia and Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 for 30 each(at the time they were 60) and got an extra 360 controller for 20 bucks.

I've been going to my local mall's FYE for 5 years now, and they have no signs of closing. They had a major cd sale in demeber and I asked an employee if they were closing--the answer was a perfect 'no,' which is exactly what I needed to hear. That's one of the only places I shop at, besides Best Buy and my local comic book store.

Usually corporate never tells the stores if they are shutting down until last notice. So the workers usually don't know jack. whoever jack is

I don't go to FYE often, mostly because of their prices. I used to love Media Play before the chain went bankrupt, and now with Circuit City gone I'm stuck going to Best Buy. Once FYE is gone, Best Buy will have total control in this area.
Honestly, I'd rather risk the monopoly.

K-Mart is owned in part by Walmart and has no electronics department worth mentioning, our Target has only two isles of electronics(although they will be building us a Super Target if they can get enough moneys) , and Walmart is owned by Satan. They don't count.

Exactly. Also, they never have the games I want, like No More Heroes 2. They seriously don't carry it around here! Best Buy has it a least, and I still plan to get it, but that's not the point! Walmart sucks!

i agree they over charge, but i like FYI
they had these big life sized Edward Cullen and Bella cardboard cut outs, and I started putting WoW and other anime/video game character masks and random hats on them, and the one employee came over and we both decorated them together and took pictures :3 He was awesome; told his coworked not to take em apart because Addy made them =D

Sam Goody, havnt seen one of those for over a decade in Cali. Circuit City went out here a while ago. We have FRYS which has slightly better prices than Best Buy and a larger selection of tech stuff.

Yeah fw, Sam Goody shut down. I haven't seen one in my entire state since 2004. Nevertheless, FYE has always been there for me and my needs.

It's essentially the same thing as FYE. And I like purchasing the cd's in the store, rather than waiting two weeks for an Eastwood film to arrive at my doorstep from Cincinatti in a package that takes an extra 9 minutes to open.
