Hmm, more of a freeze button than a kill button. Not sure how that would help anything by having it all not work. Would also put the country in the dark in terms of keeping up on current events and such, since no one reads newspapers anymore...
JUST THINK!! If this went thru and was used, THERE WOULD BE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE ALL AT ONCE EVERYWHERE

Mass suicide to knock off a bunch of morons, fine with the penguin! But, turning off the internet will surly cripple many businesses as Addy noted.
Though it does seem rather pointless, there are still plenty of ways of communication that terrorists can use, and us as lazy Americans would literally be the only ones in the dark! We rely on the internet so much, we would also be crippled, it is a sad day and time we live in >.< Sadly, I luff the internet too, but I think I might possibly get over it.
The internet has not only brought so many people together, it has also made us anti social, hiding behind our computer screens! We are so goina end up like that surrogates movie- gah! >.<
