Title: Good villain death?
Post by: Wesker on January 08, 2009, 11:10:23 PM
I'm currently writing an action/drama movie script and I need a good death for the bad guy to have done by our hero, who is a P.I.  Currently the only one I have is the villain holds the man's almost-ex-wife hostage and her dog bites him. The hero slides a .38 revolver from his shirt sleeve and shoots the villain in the chest 6 times.

Any other ideas?

You can always do the classic, Die Hard/Minority Report-eqsue type death, where the guy is shot out of a tall building through a glass wall. That's always epic.

The hero shoots the villain in the shoulder forcing him to drop his gun and release his wife. The villain escapes into an alleyway (asuming the setting has one) wounded and takes a rest. His subbordinate (whom throughout the story he treats like shit) walks up to him and he thinks he is there to help him.Lulled into a false sense of security his subbordinate strangles him in the alleyway as the Hero and his wife escape.

The setting is in rural/wooded pennsylvania, the villain is a man who is making the hero, a down-on-his-luck P.I. jump through hoops for him in the course of one day. Y'know, doing different obstacles including going to a thug and doing sumthin like calling his mother a whore.

No, he slips, giving the Hero a perfect opportunity to pull out his Laser beam rife and blast him in the face.

Just thought of this one yesterday
Det. Crawford (hero) is running after the bad guy, firing at him w/ his .38 revolver. He chases him up to a roof where the villain stops on the edge and notices a police car below. He turns around and sees Crawford standing 4 yards away from him.

The villain holds up his hands and says "What're ya gonna do now, eh? No point in shooting me! You'll have to arrest me, but I'll be outta jail in 5 years or less! We'll play this whole game again!"
Crawford reloads the cylinder of his revolver.

Villain shouts "Hey, woah, ya can't do this! They'll arrest you for shooting an unarmed man! Do the math, Crawford! J-just ask yerself... 'Do i really need to do this?'"

Crawford looks at his gun by his side and says "yeah." then slides in the cylinder, lifts his gun and fires 4 shots into the villain's chest, letting him fall to the asphalt below.

Hell, and to make the hero even more crafty, have him throw another gun over the side, like the villain dropped it.

I like how you made the hero look like an anti-hero there. That's kinda cool.

Thanks for the comment, man. I like your little idea on throwing a printless gun to make it seem just.
